We believe every learner will make outstanding progress, build confidence and enjoy Home Cooking during their time at our school. 

Our curriculum is based on learning how to cook which is a critical and crucial life skill. It enables learners to feed themselves and others affordably, as well as developing a wider understanding of the benefits of a healthy and nutritious diet for themselves, their families and the communities in which they live.

Knowledge, skills and understanding of where food comes from, the concept of seasonality, characteristics of ingredients and how our food choices are influenced by lifestyle, diet, cost, culture, environment factors and animal welfare are covered with importance. Learners will learn different tastes and be sensitive to the impact of the food they make on themselves and others, including the environment. 

Learners access accreditation that is appropriate to their ability, this includes, Asdan, BTEC Introductory units in catering and BTEC Level 2 Award in Home Cooking Skills.
